Manjesh Rana is a Researcher at Lokniti, Center for the Study of Developing Societies. He has been part of several studies conducted by us, including, NES 2019, Study of Election Rallies, Social Media & Political Behaviour and Status of Police in India 2019. Having completed his LL.M from National Law University Delhi, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, and taught Constitutional Law for three years. He also holds a Diploma in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding from Lady Shri Ram College, DU, and is presently working on Tibetan refugees for his doctoral research.
Manjesh also has a deep interest in documentary film-making and recently worked as a Cinematographer for a PSBT film ‘Please Mind the Gap’- the story of a transman reclaiming public space and one’s own self. It has travelled to several international film festivals and was the only entry from India to the prestigious British Film Institute’s Flare London Film Festival 2019. He believes that the combination of research, writing and camera emerge as the most effective tool for storytelling.
