A Post-Poll survey was conducted by Lokniti, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies in Delhi. The survey was conducted among 2060 respondents spread across 120 locations in 24 Assembly Constituencies. The constituencies were randomly selected using the Probability Proportionate to Size Method. Thereafter five polling stations within each of the sampled constituencies were selected using the Systematic Random Sampling method. Finally, the respondents were also randomly selected using the same method from the latest electoral rolls of the sampled polling stations. 130 trained field investigators approached voters for an interview soon after voting ended for the Assembly Election on 6 pm on the 7th of February. The fieldwork was conducted until the late evening of 8th February. The achieved sample matches largely with both the actual demographic profile of Delhi (Table One) and the vote shares secured by the main political parties (Table Two). The Post Poll study was not used to make any vote or seat projections but was a purely academic exercise for explaining the verdict. The basic survey findings uploaded here have been weighted by the actual vote share secured by major parties.
