Lokniti is planning a national survey based study focusing on Youth in 2016. This study with a target sample of 7500 will focus on social, political and personal; anxieties and aspirations of the Youth of India. The study also aims to tap life style habits, religiosity, and level of conservatism prevailing amongst today’s Youth. This study will also serve as a comparative analysis with one of the previous Youth Study conducted by Lokniti in 2007.
Objectives of the Study:
- To understand the changes in the attitude and perception of the Youth on key socio factors such as family values, marriage, religiosity, life orientation and upbringing.
- To get a detailed check of the views held by the Youth on issues of National importance.
- To ascertain the changes in their attitude towards political/voting participation, democratic institutions and more.
- To understand their anxieties and insecurities towards career and their future.
- To get to the crux of the current issues that impact Youth and ascertain the bigger challenges that lie ahead of them.
- To prepare a fresh socio-demographic and economic profile of the Indian Youth and trace changes if any.
- To understand the changes in their perception of growing future expectations, aspirations, as well as the sense of the future for a bettered comparative analysis.
- To analyze the reasons as to why certain permutations and combinations lead to changes in Youth attitude and behavior.
- To understand the Youth’s increasing engagement with the media, particularly internet and social media
